Leaders keep calm at the Herkenbosche

Mart Karsenbarg from Groningen, leader after the first day, had a less good day as he indicated: 'My score today says little about how I played. I was in the woods often and then had to chip back to the fairway. I am therefore satisfied with a score of 73 (+1).

The leader also managed to hold on in the girls category, despite a less good round for her. Theresa Steinberg from Germany extends her lead after a round in 73 strokes (+1). "I'm quite disappointed in how I played and actually all parts were not good today," said Steinberg. Nearest competitor -and compatriot- Louise Eberhard follows at seven strokes after a round of level par.

Only in the under-14 category do the leader and runner-up change positions. Jonathan Scholten took the lead from Kian de Roo after a round of 75 strokes (+3). “It was much better than yesterday. Although it could have been even better if I had made a little more putts and less unnecessary bogeys'.

The Holbox Junior Open is organized by Pro Golf Events at Golfbaan de Herkenbosche and is part of the Global Junior Golf Tour and Global Junior Golf 21golfleague. Results count towards the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
