After the first day of the Campine Junior Golf Classic at the Kempense Golf Club in Mol, Belgium, there are six boys under par. Bob Geurts leads the field with a score of 67 (-5).
The field at the Campine Junior Golf Classic consists of earlier Global Junior Golf winners like Nicole Bonde Lorup (Tulip Golf Challenge - 2017), Brandon Dietzel (RB German Junior - 2018) and current leader Bob Geurts (European Spring Junior - 2018).
The second place in the boys category is taken by Hannes Ruhnau from Germany with a round in 68 shots (-4) followed by Daniel Barth Aas, who closes the top three with 70 (-2).
In the girls category Johanna Steinberg from Germany shot a 73 (+1) to take an early lead after day one. Fellow German Ashley Fowler is the runner up with a round in 74 (+2) strokes.
‘We are looking back at a beautiful first day’ Martin van der Schans, one of the Tournament Directors from Pro Golf Events says. ‘The course is in a absolutely fabulous condition which makes great golf and rolling a lot of putts in the hole possible. Let’s hope for some more red number on day two!’
